简介：Jacopo Dal Corso，男，1981年出生，教授，博导，国际SCI刊物Cambridge Prisms: Extinction 期刊编委。
学术经历：博士毕业于意大利帕多瓦大学，2011-2018年于英国利兹大学、德国Hanse-Wissenschafts-Kolleg (HWK)高级研究所、莱布尼茨热带海洋研究中心工作。2019年入选湖北省尖端人才引进计划任本校教授。
研究领域：从事重大地质突变期生物与环境协同演化研究，主要包括古环境演变和古气候重建、生物灭绝事件、同位素地球化学研究。主要研究目标为：（1）重建重大地质突变期大气-陆地-海洋系统主要元素和同位素组成的变化；（2）解析地质历史时期大火成岩省（LIP）活动、气候变化和生物灭绝之间的时间因果关系；（3）探究全球环境危机期间关键生物类群演化和其主要驱动因素。研究通过元素和同位素地球化学与地层学、古生物学、沉积学等多学科交叉方式开展。
研究项目和成果：主持国家自然基金面上项目，在Science Advances、Nature Communications、Nature Reviews Earth & Environment、Geology、Earth and Planetary Science Letters等SCI期刊上发表论文50余篇。
