福建屏南人,汉族,教授,1986年获地质学专业学士学位，并留校任教,1994年年获构造地质学硕士学位,2005年获地图制图学与地理信息工程博士学位。现为信息工程学院教师。担任学院党委委员、教学委员会委员、职务聘任委员会委员及学术委员会委员。为本科生和研究生主讲《地理信息系统原理》、《信息导论》和《高级空间统计与分析》等课程。教师教学水平档案建库优秀，获2008-2010年度校教师教学优秀奖,2011年被评为中国地质大学(武汉)第五届教学名师。2005-2006年在澳大利亚科廷科技大学（Curtin University of Technology）作访问学者。
