徐珊博士长期从事电磁法的理论与应用研究,该研究领域旨在利用电磁场探测地球内部结构和物性,在深地结构与资源探测、自然灾害监测(如地震、火山活动)、地质工程风险评估等方面发挥了重要作用,是保障国家资源能源安全必不可少的一种研究手段。擅长将地表电磁观测与微观岩石物理实验相结合,将传统地球物理方法与地质学、地球化学、地球动力学、机器学习方法相结合,将多学科交叉与融合应用于深部结构探测和资源环境勘探中,在中国华南、土耳其、冰岛等地开展了多个大地电磁探测工作。目前担任中国地球物理学会地球电磁专业委员会委员和中国地球物理学会中国大陆动力学专业委员会委员。
