Personal Profile

Wang yong: doctor, associate professor, visiting scholar of university of western Ontario (UWO), Canada, deputy director of hubei engineering technology center of "intelligent geological resources and environment". 

Main research directions: geographic information system, distributed spatial information integration and sharing, and intelligent interpretation of remote sensing images. Long engaged in land resources information and urban planning information research and development and application. As the project leader, he completed one key science and technology research project of the tenth five-year plan, participated in two 863 projects as the main backbone, participated in four provincial and ministerial research projects as the main backbone, and presided over more than 20 horizontal cooperation projects as the leader. In 2003, he won the first prize of science and technology progress of hubei province. In 2012, he won one achievement award of China informatization (land and resources). In 2014, he won one of the progress awards of China geographic information technology. In 2018, he won one second prize of surveying and mapping science and technology progress award. He has published more than 20 papers, 3 invention patents, 2 books and more than 20 software Copyrights.
