自然界生物经过亿万年的演化,发展出与周围环境相适应的特殊表界面结构和功能。探索自然,揭秘自然的奥秘,并仿生发展具有特殊结构和功能的材料具有重要意义。目前课题组主要开展以下方向研究:
1. 仿生纳米限域离子/分子传输及应用
生命具有高效物质合成和信息传输特性,这与生物纳米通道内发生的超快、超低阻力的离子/分子传输相关。例如钾离子通道直径只有2.8 Å,只允许K+通过,而且通量达到108 个离子/秒,在神经信息传输和维持细胞稳态方面起着关键作用。研究并开发具有高效纳米限域离子/分子传输性能的材料在新型高效化学合成,海水淡化,能源转化,生命传感,离子电池,离子分子/筛分,重要金属离子提取等领域具有广阔的应用前景。
2. 仿生界面浸润性及粘附
界面浸润性是很多生物表面表现出来的特殊性质,例如荷叶的超疏水,蜘蛛丝的集水作用,猪笼草笼口的自润滑等;界面浸润性与表面的物理结构和化学性质相关联,通过设计和调控表面微纳米结构和化学组成,可以实现对表面浸润性的控制。发展具有特殊浸润性的表面材料在生活和工业生产方面具有重要的意义,例如自清洁表面,自润滑表面,油水分离,水收集和定向传输,打印/印刷,检测分析,防腐/抗污,粘附等。
