Personal Profile

Linfeng Chen, currently a professor in China University of Geoscience. He received his B.Eng. degree from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in 2008 and obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS) with Prof. Yanlin Song and Prof. Lei Jiang in 2014. Later, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Technion-Israel Institute of Technology (2014-2016), and as a research fellow in the Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering, National University of Singapore (2017-2019). In 2019, he was supported by China Univeristy of Geosciences, and came back to work as a professor in the department of Materials Science and Chemistry. 


His research is focused on bioinspired interfacial wetting materials, nanofluidic iontronics, bioinspired olfactory/tongue. He has published more than 40 papers in high level journals, such as Chem. Soc. Rev.(IF 60.615), Adv. Mater. (IF 32.086), Sci. Bull. (IF20.577), ACS Nano (IF 18.027), Mater. Horiz. (IF 15.717), Matter (IF 19.967), Adv. Sci. (IF 14.3), Adv. Funct. Mater.
