Personal Profile

Wen Yanping, female, born in Xingxian County, Shanxi Province, PhD, associate professor, master supervisor,  a member of Geographical Society of China, Third-party Assessment Expert of Beautiful China, and Third-party Assessment Expert of all-for-one  tourism.

The research direction includes urbanization development research, urban agglomeration coordinated development research, etc. I received my master's degree in regional economics from the School of Tourism, Central China Normal University in 2001 and my doctorate degree in Quaternary Geology from China University of Geosciences in 2007.In 2011, I served as a visiting scholar in the Department of Geography, University of Victoria, Canada.

I teach two courses, Economic Geography and Tourism Geography, and I guided field practice in Huangshi, Beidaihe, Zigui and other places. I have presided over the social science research project of Wuhan "Golden Triangle" city cluster construction in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River "and the national geological relic protection project" Yunxian Qinglong Mountain Dinosaur Egg Fossil Group National Geological Park Environmental Protection ".Participated in Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Project "Research on the Development and Utilization of Geological Relics Resources in Qingjiang River Basin" and Humanities and Social Science Project of Ministry of Education. I have published dozens of papers in core journals.

In 2011, I was awarded the first prize of soft science research achievements of geological science by Hubei Bureau of Geology and Mineral Resources, ranking the third. I was awarded the title of "Excellent Instructor" by China University of Geosciences in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

Current Major and Direction: Human Geography; Urbanization, Global Tourism and Metropolis Development Research.
