研究方向:能源环境功能材料。包括合成催化剂在能源环境中的应用;天然矿物资源功能化开发。留校任教至今,中间曾于美国麻省理工学院(MIT)访学1年。已完成主持项目15项,其中1项国家自然科学基金、2项国土资源部子课题等; 参与项目15项,其中1项国家“863”项目、3项国家自然科学面上基金、1项湖北省重大科研项目等。第1或者通讯作者发表学术论文20余篇,授权专利28项(包括美国及欧洲专利各1项),获得湖北省技术发明二等奖1项(排名第4)。从事《矿物材料工艺学》及《材料测试方法》等课程实验教学工作,管理X射线衍射实验室,精通物相分析及精修,参与获校级教学研究成果奖和卓越教学团队奖各1项。参篇教材《现代测试技术》及科普书籍《矿物材料制备技术》。
