主要从事苔藓细胞分类学、苔藓植物对环境变化的响应方面的研究。在国内外核心期刊发表研究论文13篇（其中10篇SCI）？主持国家自然科学基金青年基金项目1项（中国羽苔科植物细胞分类学研究，30900079）、生物地质与环境地质教育部重点实验室开放基金项目1项（苔藓植物对大气污染的响应和指示作用，BGEG0812），参与中央高校基本科研业务费专项资金1项（长江中游泥炭湿地环境演变的生物响应，CUG090103）。
