Dr. Zhang Shu is an Associate Researcher at the Badong National Observation and Research Station for Geohazards, China University of Geosciences, where she also serves as a Master's thesis supervisor. She holds a Ph.D. in Engineering Geology and has successfully completed her postdoctoral research. She serves as a peer reviewer for several prestigious international journals, including the Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering, Engineering Geology, Landslides, and Geosciences. Her scholarly contributions include 21 publications in SCI/EI/ISTP-indexed journals, one academic monograph, and seven granted national invention patents. As principal investigator, she has secured funding for 8 competitive research projects, including four National Natural Science Foundation of China grants (Youth Science Fund, General Program, Major Program Sub-project, and Joint Research Project), one Hubei Provincial Natural Science Foundation grant, one China Postdoctoral Science Foundation grant, and two Laboratory Open Fund Projects. Her research expertise focuses on the evolution mechanisms and processes of reservoir landslides, rheological properties of engineering rock and soil, instability mechanisms and risk assessment of accumulation layer landslides, as well as early warning and forecasting systems for geohazards.
