余火根,男,中国地质大学(武汉)材料与化学学院教授、博士生导师、国务院政府特殊津贴专家、国家百千万人才工程入选者,获有突出贡献中青年专家教育部新世纪优秀人才武汉市优秀青年科技工作者称号。主要从事光催化环境净化、光催化分解水制氢等研究工作。获国家自然科学二等奖1项(排名第二)、湖北省自然科学一等奖1项(排名第二)和湖北省技术发明二等奖1项(排名第二);2014-2021年连续八年入选爱思唯尔中国高被引学者(Most Cited Chinese Researchers)”榜单;在国际著名刊物Adv. Mater.Angew. Chem. Int. Edit.JACS等发表180余篇SCI研究论文,个人引文指数H65;主持国家自然科学基金区域创新发展联合基金重点项目、国家自然科学基金面上项目、湖北省自然科学基金创新群体项目等;担任Chinese Journal of Catalysis》和Acta Physico-Chimica Sinica编委。
