王向东,1991年生,博士,副研究员,硕士生导师,主要从事地质历史上关键时期大规模火山作用喷发时限及古海洋环境响应过程的研究工作,主持国家自然科学青年项目1项(在研)、湖北省自然科学青年项目1项(已结题),参与国家自然科学重点项目1项(在研)、面上3项。主要取得了如下三个方面的研究成果:(1)运用全岩及锆石地球化学特征为古-中生代之交华南大规模火山物质的性质、源区及构造背景提供约束,探究了此火山对同时期生物及古海洋环境的影响;(2)通过对华南及印度一系列晚二叠世-早三叠世剖面的 Hg 地球化学研究,探讨了大规模火山作用的时限、Hg 异常与西伯利亚岩浆侵入期次的关系以及火山作用对生物气候和环境的影响;(3)利用Zn同位素和C同位素揭示了早三叠世极热时期气候、环境及海洋初级生产力的相互作用关系,提出了早三叠世极热时期环境波动的情节模式。目前已发表国际SCI论文15篇,其中第一作者或者通讯作者SCI论文7篇。发表在Earth and Planetary Science Letters的两篇论文已分别被引用100次/69次,其中一篇在2020年对期刊影响因子贡献的统计中排名第7。曾获得李四光优秀博士提名奖1项(全国优秀博士5名+1提名奖)、湖北省自然科学进步二等奖1 项(2021年,排名4)。
