Shangguan Xingchen, male, born in 1994, Xinyang, Henan Province.
He is a Distinguished Professor and Master's supervisor of School of Automation, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan); Member of IEEE, Member of Chinese Association of Automation (CAA), Member of Chinese Society of Electrical Engineering (CSEE), Member of China Energy Research Society (CERS).
He graduated from China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) with a B.Eng. degree in automation and a Ph.D. degree in control science and engineering in 2016 and 2021, respectively. He was funded by the China Scholarship Council for joint training in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics of the University of Liverpool, U.K., from 2018 to 2020. He has been appointed as a Distinguished Professor of the School of Automation of the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in 2022.
He has been engaged in the research of power system stability control and networked control system for a long time. He has presided over the youth project of National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the upper-level project of Postdoctoral Science Foundation (first-class grant), the youth project of Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province, the project of Innovative Postdoctoral Research Position of Hubei Province, and the project of Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Innovation Fund of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), and he also participated in many scientific research projects as a key member of the NSFC ( He has also participated as a key member in the key projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (ranked third), the surface projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the key research and development projects of the Natural Science Foundation of Hubei Province, and the lateral projects of enterprises. He has published more than 20 papers as the first author or corresponding author in the top international control journals, such as IEEE TCST, IEEE TIE, IEEE TII, IEEE TCYB, etc., including 9 papers in IEEE Trans., 3 papers in ESI Highly Cited Papers, and 1 paper in ESI Hot Papers. He has been invited to be the young editorial board member of Protection and Control of Modern Power Systems and Journal of Guizhou University (Natural Science Edition), and has served as a reviewer for several IEEE Trans. journals. He was honored as one of the 100 Outstanding Scientific and Technical Papers of Hubei Province 2021-2023, Outstanding Paper Award of CACRE 2024 International Conference, and Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation Award of China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) 2022.
