Harvesting solar energy to drive artificial photosynthesis for the production of value-added chemicals and clean energy is a promising strategy to solve the growing worldwide energy and environmental crisis.
My recently research interest focuses on the plasmonic metal-based and two dimensional (2D)-based composites design towards the green and efficient photocatalysis for H2 production, CO2 reduction and selective organic synthesis. The goal of this research is to develop novel nanostructures for efficient solar energy conversion and investigate the structure-property-catalysis interplay intrinsically associated with the nanostructures, at the intersection of chemistry, physics and materials science.
