Lebing Fu is an associate professor at the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). After receiving B.Eng. degree from the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan) in 2007, Lebing completed his Ph.D. degree and postdoctoral training there in 2012 and 2015. He worked as a visiting scholar at the Centre for Exploration Targeting, the University of Western Australia during 2017–2018. His current research focuses on the genesis and prospectivity of lode gold and porphyry deposits. He is also interested in the secular heterogeneous distribution of metallic deposits controlled by crustal growth and preservation.
