Sheng Du (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in Measurement & Control Technology and Instrument and the Ph.D. degree in Control Science and Engineering from China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, in 2016 and 2021, respectively. He was a joint Ph.D. student with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, from 2019 to 2021. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Control Science and Engineering, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, from 2021 to 2023.
He is currently a Professor with the School of Automation, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China. His research interests include process control, intelligent control, intelligent optimization, computational intelligence, and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Du is a Senior Member of the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA) and a winner of the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Nomination Award of the CAA. He is an Associate Editor of Measurement and Control.
