Sheng Du (Member, IEEE) received the B.S. degree in Measurement & Control Technology and Instrument and the Ph.D. degree in Control Science and Engineering from China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, in 2016 and 2021, respectively. He was a joint Ph.D. student with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada, from 2019 to 2021. He was a Postdoctoral Fellow in Control Science and Engineering, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, from 2021 to 2023.
He is currently a Professor with the School of Artificial Intelligence and Automation, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China. His research interests include process control, intelligent control, intelligent optimization, computational intelligence, and artificial intelligence.
Dr. Du is a Senior Member of the Chinese Association of Automation (CAA) and a winner of the Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Nomination Award of the CAA. He is an Associate Editor of Measurement and Control.
