Personal Profile

Dr. Yanni Dong received the B.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China. 

Dr. Dong is currently an associate professor with Institute of Geophysics and Geomatics, China University of Geosciences, and also was a Hong Kong Scholar with the Department of Land Surveying and Geo-Informatics, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong.

Dr. Dong has been engaged in the research of hyperspectral remote sensing images interpretation. She has published some academic papers,  such as IEEE TCyber, IEEE TIP, IEEE TGRS, and ISPRS J etc. She has been principal investigators of more than 10 scientific research projects such as the youth and general programs of the National Natural Science Foundation of China.

Dr. Dong was selected IEEE Senior Member and served as the guest editor of Remote Sensing. She is a reviewer of more than twenty international journals, including the IEEE TCybern, TGRS, TIP, TNNLS,  ISPRS, PR. She is also the PC Member of IJCAI and AAAI.

She also serves as Guest Editor for several special issues:

1. Recent Advances in Hyperspectral Image Processing

2. Artificial Intelligence-Driven Methods for Remote Sensing Target and Object Detection
