Jianqi An, Professor with the School of Automation, China University of Geosciences.

He received his B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in engineering from Central South University, Changsha, China, in 2004, 2007, and 2011, respectively. He was a faculty member of the School of Information Science and Engineering, Central South University from 2009 to 2014. In September 2014, he joined the China University of Geosciences, Wuhan, China, where he is a professor with the School of Automation. He was an international research fellow of Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) with the Department of Computational Intelligence and System Science, Tokyo Institute of Technology, Yokohama, Japan, from 2016.11 to 2018.3, and with the School of Engineering, Tokyo University of Technology, Tokyo, Japan, from 2018.4 to 2018.12.

At present, his current research interests include intelligent system control, detection, advanced control theory and applications for complex industrial process, robot control, information fusion, virtual reality simulation and implementation, etc. He has published 95 papers, applied 59 patents (36 of them were authorized). Now, he  supervises the students who want to study for Ph. D. degrees or master degrees in control science and engineering.

He is currently a member of the IEEE, the Chinese Association of Automation, and the Chinese Association of Artificial Intelligence.
