Heng Zhang, male, born in November 1988, Tianmen, Hubei province.
Heng Zhang graduated from China University of Geosciences, Wuhan and obtained the Bachelor's degree in June 2011. In September 2011, he applied for a successive master and doctor program in China University of Geosciences, Wuhan. In April 2014, he went to the Economic Geological Survey of The University of Texas at Austin as a visiting scholar for 1.5 years. In 2016, he received his doctoral degree in China University of Geosciences, Wuhan. From September 2016 to October 2020, he worked at the Post-doctoral Station of Petroleum Engineering, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan. Since October 2020, he has been working at the Department of Petroleum Engineering, School of Earth Resources, China University of Geosciences, Wuhan. His research interests include karst geology, carbonate reservoir geology, and carbonate sedimentary sequence.
He has participated in the national "973" Project, the Strategic Leading Science and Technology Special Project of The Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Key Research and Development Program, and hosted the National Natural Science Youth Fund project, the Horizontal collaboration project of Sinopec Northwest Oilfield Company, and the Open Fund of Key Laboratory of Tectonics and Petroleum Resources, Ministry of Education. He has published over 20 academic papers as the first author and co-authors in domestic and foreign journals, including Marine and Petroleum Geology, Journal of Natural Gas Science and Engineering, Journal of Petroleum Science and Engineering, Acta Petrolei Sinica, Oil and Gas Geology, Journal of Palaeogeography, Geological Science and Technology Information, and Xinjiang Geology.
