向秀桥， 男，博士（后），副教授，硕士生导师，中国计算机学会(CCF)会员。2011年9月在华中科技大学博士后出站来学院工作，2009年6月获华中科技大学系统分析与集成专业博士学位， 2004年6月获华中科技大学数学硕士学位。自2001年以来从事信息处理与智能计算研究，以第一（或通讯）作者在IEEE Transactions on Geoscience and Remote Sensing 、Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence、Circuits Systems and Signal Processing、Mechanical Systems and Signal Processing、Expert Systems with Applications、Communication in Nonlinear Science and Numerical Simulation、Applied Mathematics and Computation、Communications in Theoretical Physics、Chaos等国际期刊上发表SCI论文多篇，2012年入选中国地质大学（武汉）摇篮计划，2019年获国家留学基金委资助赴美国加州大学圣塔芭芭拉分校（University of California, Santa Barbara简称UCSB）计算机科学系做访问学者一年
