Wei Ren is a full Professor at the School of Computer Science, China University of Geosciences (Wuhan), China. He was with Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Illinois Institute of Technology, USA in 2007 and 2008. He was a postdoctoral research fellow in School of Computer Science, University of Nevada Las Vegas, USA in 2006 and 2007. He was a research assistant in the Department of Computer Science, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, in 2004 and 2005. He obtained Ph.D. in Computer Science from School of Computer Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China in 2006. He published more than 150 refereed papers (as a corresponding author), 2 monograph, and 5 textbooks. He obtained 50 patents and 10 innovation awards. He regularly served as a TPC member in IEEE GLOBECOM and ICC, and a reviewer for IEEE INFOCOM and Communications of the ACM. He is a distinguished member of China Computer Federation.
