Kaiyan Hu
Kaiyan Hu, born in Zhijiang City, Hubei Province, China, serves as an associate professor at the Department of Applied Geophysics at China University of Geosciences. She earned her doctorate in Solid Geophysics from Peking University in 2020. From 2018 to 2019, she was a visiting Ph.D. student in the group of Prof. Niklas Linde at UNIL for one year. Her research focuses on self-potential signatures associated with water infiltration and solute transport in the critical zone. Furthermore, she investigates self-potential responses to rainfall-induced landslides through indoor experiments and conducts studies on seawater intrusion in coastal areas of China using hydrochemical analyses and numerical modeling.
